To help celebrate Daniel Boone's 275th birthday,
Randell Jones will be participating in these events in 2009:
 Sept. 1 - Rural Hall Senior Club, Rural Hall, NC. Kingswoods United Methodist Church
Sept 4 & 5 - Daniel Boone Days, Boone, NC (www.danielboonedays.com)
Randell Jones will appear on Friday, Sept 4 from 10:00AM to 3:00PM along with Robert Morgan at the Daniel Boone Symposium on the Appalachian State University campus, Raley Hall, Rm 1018. His appearance is sponsored by the NC Humanities Council, Road Scholars Speakers' Bureau program. The program is free.
On Sept 5 at 5:00pm, Randell will collaborate with The Forget-Me-Nots in a music/storytelling performance in the Horn in the West amphitheatre. Admission.
Sept 10 - Warm Hearth Village, Blacksburg, VA, 3:00PM, In the Footsteps of Daniel Boone
Sept 12 - Mauney Memorial Library, Kings Mountain, NC. 11:00AM. "Famous and Infamous Women of North Carolina."
Sept. 17 & 18 - Overmountain Victory Days, Museum of NC Minerals, Blue Ridge Parkway, Spruce Pine, NC
Randell is a volunteer storyteller for the National Park Services's education program.
Sept 19 - Wilderness Trail Festival, Christiansburg, VA. Storytelling at 10:30 and 1:30 during street festival
Oct 3 - Apple Festival - Boone, NC, Horn in the West
Oct 18 - Daniel Boone Homestead, Birdsboro, PA - Heritage Day
Oct 24 - Piedmont District Fall Camporee (BSA, Old Hickory Council). Pathfinder Game and campfire storytelling.
Nov 14 - (tentative) - Boone's Cave Park, Davidson County, NC
